What is the wisdom you hold within you? What would your parting words be to someone who had just arrived on earth (assuming they could understand you, of course), knowing you had only five minutes to say them? What do you know to be true? What do you wish you had figured out a long time ago? And, with all these words of wisdom of yours, how many of them do you live by?
It's always good to re-evaluate what makes us "us," and the more in alignment we stay with our own values, the more we "move" with life and the more we appreciate every moment, no matter what it brings. Getting back in touch with our values and what makes us tick helps remind us of what's important to us in life. It reminds us of the basics.
My words of wisdom follow. I encourage you to write yours first. If you read mine first, you will most likely think you don't have much new to add, and then they won't feel like yours. Our words of wisdom will overlap significantly, because in the end we are, under all of our differences, one and the same. And that is the most beautiful pearl of all.
Look for the good in life. Look for the good in people. Always do your best. Trust life. Offer your opinion only when it is asked for, and even then, be careful. Learn to forgive. Be honest, with yourself and with others. Choose your words carefully; they are powerful. Be compassionate - walk a mile in others' shoes. Be compassionate with yourself. Know what you want. Be open to change. Follow your dream. Follow your heart. Always. Learn how your intuition speaks to you and listen to it, always. See all people the same. Know that everyone does their best with the tools they have. Laugh a lot. Don't take yourself too seriously. Praise people. Give compliments often. Enjoy the outside. Enjoy family. Help people when you can. Rest when you need to. Love animals. Eat what is good for you. Love your body. Spend time with your friends and loved ones. Use your brain. Always seek to improve, and don't blame. And above all, know that everyone is the same: Everyone wants to be loved, everyone wants to be appreciated. Love and appreciate them. And love and appreciate you.
